Known for its rugged rocks and hidden coves, the Costa Brava stretches from Blanes, Girona, to the border of France and the town of Portbou.
“Brava” means “wild”, which is the perfect way to describe the beautiful coastline that you will travel past from the comfort of your boat. You will pass by stunning rock formations and be captivated by the natural beauty of the coast, feeling miles away from the Barcelona beaches with their packed beaches, restaurants and bars.
Cap de Creus Natural Park
After travelling up from Barcelona towards Cadaqués and Port Lligat (Dalí had a house hidden away in this area), the boat will travel to the famous peninsula, Cap de Creus Natural Park. A “natural park” in Spain describes an area that is protected to help preserve its unique natural qualities. Cap de Creus is hugely diverse, from dry, weather-beaten rocks to lush seaside; it is these differences that make the Cap de Creus such an amazing place to visit.
Your trip will finish with one of the best views of Catalonia from the monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes. A former Benedictine monastery, Sant Pere de Rodes is built into the side of a mountain and is largely constructed in a Romanesque style. Consecrated in 1022, the old monastery offers the best views over the bay of Llançà. It is also located near to the ruins of a medieval village.
Once you have taken in the views, the boat will bring you back to Barcelona.
